My Health and Our "Government"

Let me tell you a little about myself.  I was born in 1979, with a Birth Defect called Spina Bifida.  I also have a condition called Hydrocephalus.  I am paralyzed and mostly confined to a wheelchair.  I have had close to 70 surgeries in my life and will have to have more, before my time on earth is over. I wasn't expected to live through the first week of my life.  However, by the grace of God, I've made it through a lot of stuff!  I am thankful to God every single day I get to wake up.
However, with those health conditions, comes a great many obstacles.  I have to fight daily just to get through my day to day life.  I am not able to get myself out of bed some days.  I have a hard time doing a lot of things for myself, be it because of physical limitations, inaccessibility or for whatever reason.  I have to depend on others to drive me where I need to go, plus a lot of activities of daily living.
One thing I have encountered as of late, is the fact that, because of "new laws & regulations", a lot of my medications are being changed without my consent and I'm just being put on whatever THE DOCTOR feels will work for me!  I am sick and darn tired of the powers that be, in My State and in our Federal Government, thinking they are God and that they know me or others like me, better than we know ourselves, so therefore, they know better than I do, what medication or what treatment or what length of physical therapy will work for me and others like me!  If you've never met me, talked to me and seen what I go through, just to fight for my life, to get through each and every day of my life, DO NOT judge me, try to make my decisions for me & dang it, QUIT trying to tell me what is better for me, such as medications, treatments, therapies, etc.  Walk a month in my shoes and see what I go through and what I have to deal with and what I have to fight for and then, we'll talk.  Until then, Just leave me and my health alone!
I had someone the other day tell me, "you're just pissed that the doctor took you off that medication, because you're an addict!"  That couldn't be further from the truth!  I, at that moment, wish I could have strangled that person!  I lost a family member because of an addiction and by golly, I swore to myself that I would NEVER become addicted to ANYTHING that would take my life, the way my family members life was taken, due to their addiction!
I will always fight for myself and for what I believe and if that means I make some enemies, Oh Well, so be it!

President Trump

Ya know, I hardly ever speak on politics, but I just feel so heavy hearted about something right now. It's driving me crazy.
Ok, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as am I. A lot of people have been up in arms about Donald J. Trump being elected President of the United States. Face it folks, what's done is done. There's nothing anyone can do about it at all! He has only been in Office for 9 days! Let's all just sit back for a little while and see exactly what He does before we all start bashing President Trump. He is human just like all of us. He is going to make mistakes, just like everyone else. He's going to do stuff that some agree with and He's going to do things that some don't agree with. We all should be adult enough to agree to disagree! It hurts me really bad to see on social media where family members (not necessarily mine) have started arguing over something as stupid as politics. Come on people, is politics really worth arguing with your family members or closest friends over and taking a chance of never speaking to that family member or close friend again? No, it's really not. I am not sitting here claiming to know anything about politics, but I know enough to know it's not worth destroying families or friendships over! Although President Trump doesn't have the political experience, like a Senator, Congressman, Governor, etc. I'd darn well rather see Him in office than another Clinton! Trump has business smarts and, to get some things done in this country, that in and of itself may be what we need in the White House.
Now, all that being said... On his immigration plans, I don't totally agree with everything he wants to do. I feel that, if you're an immigrant from another country, who wants to come to America to make a better life for yourself, and you go through all of the proper channels, get all the required documents, go through a very strong vetting process and pass all background checks, etc, you should be let into the United States. If you don't do all of this the legal and proper way, you shouldn't be allowed to get into the United States. I don't want someone from another country trying to come here, that hasn't been carefully checked, and that person ends up killing thousands of my fellow Americans.
I can see both sides of the argument here, to be honest. I can see where President Trump is afraid to let immigrants from other countries into the US. He is concerned, just like all of us should be, that people from these countries are not really coming here to make better lives for themselves, but to wreak havoc on the United States. Nobody wants that! He, as President, has to look at all sides. Now, I know He has sense enough to know that not all Muslims are bad people and they're not all terriorists, nor are all Syrians, etc. He's just got to find a way to confirm, without a doubt, who is safe and who isn't to let into our country. I think that's his main objective in this case. I can also see where immigrants, who have done everything they need to do and done it correctly are upset that they can't get back into the US yet. Just be patient folks, I am sure it will happen, once President Trump and His staff have a chance to figure it all out and make sure its going to work and not put the US and her citizens in more danger than we're already in. He's said, if I am not mistaken, that this is not a permanent plan. It's only temporary, until the government figures out a better way to keep those who actually plan to do harm to the US, away from our borders and our soil. I sure don't blame Him there. Good grief He only wants to keeps us safe!  As I said before, He's only been in office for 9 days! He's not going to be able to figure out everything over night! He has given his people 90 days to help Him figure this out! Give him time, folks! He may really tick off more people than he already has. Then again, He may surprise everyone!
I also feel that He is taking this time to look at and come up with a solution to help our Military, Veterans, the homeless and the poor. Before we all jump on the bandwagon to impeach Him, let's just see what He does. By the way, just because He does things we don't like, does not give us the American people the right to call for His impeachment! Just because He does things we don't like, is NOT grounds for impeachment! In order to have President Trump impeached, He has to have broken the law. Impeachment also does not get Him out of office! It's just a fancy way to say He has been charged with a crime! Making laws we do not like isn't a crime! It's Him, as the leader of this country, doing what He feels is the right thing to get the US back to where it should be!

My Thoughts on Terrorism

You know, this world is getting out of control.  In recent weeks & months, we've had more acts of terrorism, acts of violence, etc, than I can count.  There is no sense in any of it!  I will NEVER understand the "logic" behind any of it!  We know from the Bible that unprovoked murder is a sin.  In My opinion, only a coward would kill someone, to convey his point or idea.  Killing is NOT the answer!  There is always other ways to work out our differences.  We can agree to disagree.  We can walk away from one another & just let it be & forget about it, or we can argue, fuss & scream at each other, until we get it out of our system.  We can also be mature about it & walk away from one another for a time & try to come back later & talk it out.  We can also agree that we're not going to be able to work our differences out & just completely walk away from one another for good.  If I have a problem with you, I am going to be woman enough to say "Hey, I have a problem with you, I'd like to talk it out with you."  I am not going to kill you, just because I have a problem with you.  Now, that being said, if you break into my house, I'm still not going to kill you for doing it.  I might shoot you in the leg, to knock your behind down & disable you, until Law Enforcement arrives to carry your behind off in hand cuffs, to the hospital & then to jail. People need to use caution & common sense when using a weapon!  I am not saying we need "stricter gun control laws" either.  If I was dumb enough to make you want to pull a gun on me, which I don't think I'm dumb enough to do that, but I would Pray that you would think twice about pulling that gun & shooting me.  Instead, get in your car & take off to the gun range.  Take your frustration or anger that you have towards me out on that target!  In no way, shape, form or fashion do I agree with any of the killings that have happened in the last few months & weeks, here on American soil OR abroad.  I DO NOT CARE whether you are LGBT, Straight, White, Black, Asian, Latino, Christian or whatever!  As I said when the Pulse Night Club shootings happened in Orlando, No matter your Race, Color, Religion, WE ARE ALL HUMANS!  We all need to start STANDING TOGETHER in this world!  I am sick of hearing, "White Lives Matter", "Black Lives Matter", "Police Lives Matter," etc.  The way I was taught is that ALL LIVES MATTER!  We need to stop all this fighting & killing! We need to start Praying for ourselves & for each other & for our country.  Innocent lives are being lost because of all of this senselessness!
As a little girl and even now, I have had a mountain of health issues, where my parents or I ended up having to call 911 for help.    Usually, the Fire Department & EMS are the ones that always showed up to help me.  My Parents raised me to respect them, as well as Law Enforcement Officers.  I have had several Family Members that have been in Law Enforcement, in some way.  Bottom line on that, I always have had & always will have a special place in my heart for ALL First Responders.  I will always support them, whether it's just a kind word or waving at them, as they pass me on the road.  It makes no difference to me.  They will ALWAYS have my respect.  They are the ones who, day in & day out, put on that uniform on along with that badge & gun belt or medical equipment that they will need for their shift, when they get a call for help from a citizen. They do this for people like US!!!!  None of us ever know when we might be fine one moment & the next moment, one of us is on the floor gasping for air because we're having a heart attack or because we have fallen & can't get ourselves up off the floor.  To ALL First Responders, I say THANK YOU!  Also, to our Military, I say THANK YOU!  My thoughts & Prayers go out daily to ALL First Responders & their Families & anyone else that has been affected by all of these shootings & such!
